Welcome to Kinnectivecare

Hello and welcome to the new blog for Fostering Matters, Inc. called Kinnectivecare. Now you may be wondering what's this all about! Let me first start by introducing myself. My name is Tisha Nicholson and I am the President/Founder/CEO and Foster Advocate Specialist for Fostering Matters, Inc. So when I was thinking about doing a blog as a way to promote my non-profit and also as a way to share knowledge and information with foster parents, I wanted a unique name for my blog site. Now in full disclosure, I asked my husband what he thought, as he is just as creative as anyone I know, not to mention my biggest supporter in this work. He thought kinnective as in kinetic energy because that is energy that is a result of being in motion. Now let's be honest, as a parent of any kind, foster or not, we are constantly in some form of motion. I thought kinnective as a cute form of kinship/foster and connection being put together and the care that is provided by such families. So the kinnective part is a combination of both our thoughts and hence this blog is born,

This blog will be about foster, kinship, and adoptive parents. Their struggles, their joys, and their achievements. It will be a place of encouragement and have valuable information, resources, and insights. There will also be occasional updates on things happening at Fostering Matters, Inc. .. so be sure to go to the website and subscribe to this blog!
